1962 - John Lennon married Cynthia Powell

1963 - The Beatles released single "She Loves You"

1979 - Russian ballet dancer Alexander Godunov defected to the United States

How fitting that a year after John married Cynthia, the Beatles released "She Loves You". Too bad the longstanding popularity of that song didn't match the duration of their relationship.
