SERIOUSLY .... In the Pink

My most recent acquisition of vintage clothes contained many beautiful pink dresses. I do not know why pink was such a dominant color this time around, but they are a stunning lot. Quick, how many shades of pink can you name?

Carnation Pink
Brink Pink
Blushing Pink
Persian Rose
Rose
Fandango
Magenta
Hot Pink
Lavender Pink....I could be here all day, but I think you get the idea!

All now available!

This Leopard is NOT Endangered

Did you know it is illegal to purchase items made from endangered species? This seems an obvious law in most countries, but in some places this law is even extended to include vintage pieces.
Most fur coats ie: mink are not considered endangered. However, if you find yourself purchasing an item made from an endangered species, you have just contributed to the demand for this product. Please don't support killing endangered animals. Not only is it wrong (in my opinion), but you could find yourself hit with heavy penalties of the law. Peruse your local Wildlife and Gaming websites in your city to find out what animals are considered endangered. It is worth being informed.

This little 1970s leopard print maxi dress comes without any danger of legal action! Available from Vintage City Clothing, it is fashioned from nylon with a great buckle detail at the waist. $89.99 and no animals were harmed in the making of this animal print!

SILENT AUCTION - 1970s Blue Halter Dress and Jacket

I've found a great auction website that will host my little silent auctions all in the name of charity! In case some of you don't know, 10% of all my sales (website, ebay, etsy) are donated to local women's shelters here in Toronto. So 10% of the results of these auctions will also be donated to charity.

Using 32auctions.com, I will list the item up for bidding on this blog and provide everyone with the link and password needed to view the auction and/or participate. Participants can view the auction anonymously, or if they have a 32auctions account, they can join the auction. In order to bid you need an account, but it's FREE! I will still accept private bids if left as comments here on the blog or sent to bids@somelikeitvintage.com

This I hope will help keep this auction straightforward, honest, clear and easy to access. It is more intimate than the ebay behemoth!  Detailed photos below.
