Enchanted Makeovers

I love great causes and especially the people who donate their time and resources to help others. That's why today's post is not so much about vintage but about something dear to my heart: domestic violence.

An unpleasant but very real problem throughout the world. 1 in 3 women will at some point in their lives be affected by direct violence, usually by someone close to them.

Terry Grahl of Enchanted Makeovers and Meredith Corning of The Compassion Fashion Project are two women who are committed to bringing more awareness to this worldwide problem.

Terry is an interior designer who transforms women's shelters into places of sunshine. Shelters can be very gloomy places, but Terry feels there is 'light within everyone' - and she wants to develop that within the women and children at the shelter.

Vote for Terry at the MORE Magazine 2011 Beauty Search Contest. She is one lady who deserves to win!
