I remember back in the 80's, the only place dedicated to kids' clothing was a very conservative mall chain called "Junior Swank". I don't remember any of my friends or family shopping there. In the windows, there were always little mannequins wearing very formal and stiff looking clothing. I think the majority of us got our clothes from department stores. Looking back at the images from the "Love Boat" episodes, it occurred to me that vintage stores and websites rarely feature kids and preteen clothing. One of the best television shows to feature junior retro clothing is "The Brady Bunch". Each episode had 6 kids showing off the latest trends from the 1970's. We can laugh at them now, but we do so with a lot of affection.
