Bob Fosse - if you don't know him, promise me you will get to know him. Well known for his unique choreography (among many other talents), Fosse was fond of the bowler. Check out this excerpt from 1974s movie The Little Prince. See if you recognize his trademark style (think Cabaret and Chicago among many others).
