Perfectly Square

Generally, if someone calls you square, it is not a compliment. But sometimes, it is hip to be square! This gorgeous 1950s dress is a perfect example of the gingham pattern - a checkerboard layout. Originally, gingham in the 17th century was a striped pattern, however in the mid 18th century, it started to be woven into it's current day pattern. Always made of cotton, gingham has no right or wrong side regarding color - it is the same on both sides.

I found this stunning beauty at Tangerine Boutique. A perfectly balanced black and white motif that can be dressed up up with any color. I'm thinking red shoes or a red patent leather clutch. Oh my!

Now available for $120.
