I love the crispness and tailored look of pleats - no matter what
fabric. Recently acquiring these two dresses with permanent pleats in
chiffon - they are both from the 1960s and are elegant in their
construction. That's how these permanent pleats are formed - constructed
rather than sewn. These never need pressing, never wash out and are
almost wrinkle free.
They are heat set and work best in synthetic
fabrics. Aren't they fab?
