Wallflower Vintage has been "live" on the web since May 2009, during that time we have fallen in love with many fabulous vintage stores and myriad of amazing blogs. We adore them so, we thought it fitting to spotlight a vintage store or a favorite blog once a week.
Our first spotlight shines on Viva Vintage Clothing
Viva Vintage Clothing began as a vintage boutique located just north of Chicago, in Evanston, Illinois. They opened their doors in 1997, and continued to sell vintage items until 2007, when they closed their bricks-and-mortar shop doors and made the move to their present location: online-only.
Vintage items from Viva Vintage can be seen in several films, including Julie Taymor's Across the Universe, and the Sony film All The King's Men. Eagle-eyed viewers can also catch a glimpse of their logo in the film I, Robot, when Will Smith removes a pair of "vintage" Converse™ shoes from a Viva Vintage shopping bag!
Their clothing and accessories have also been seen in That 70's Show, and in many Chicago-area theater productions, at the Goodman, Steppenwolf and many others.
